18-Month Portraits

You know how my girls ADORE stuffed animals? Especially Avery? And how - other than Curious George - there are no more highly adored stuffed animals than the characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? And you know how my 18-month olds are now old enough to cooperate for a few good pictures (see: Christmas session), even if they do have to happen in about a 1-minute time period while they're sitting still?

Ok, then you know that today's portrait session (which has been on the minds of our photographer and I for nearly a year, featuring said stuffed animals) should have been cake.

And by now you also probably know - because you're a) smart, b) familiar with my tone, or c) both of the above - that it was not at all easy. Worst to date (for Avery at least), I'm sure of it.

As usual though, between a stellar photographer who knows what we like and super cute girls, there were plenty to choose from. Here are some, with several more in a new Picasa album. Check them out!

And just so you get a small glimpse of the behind the scenes (and can extrapolate if you'd like, onto what things really looked like this morning, since the portraits kind of lie) --

You're welcome for that.

I know how difficult it was to get two boys who were 3 years apart to work together in pictures. Getting two children the same age to get a good picture has to be extremely difficult.

That's one of those things where you and the photographer need a bottle of wine each afterwards!

Adorable as always. I can't believe how big the girls are getting :)
